Monks at Shechen Monastery prepare for the annual reenactment of the epic story of Ling Gesar, the feather of Tibet. The legend of this Mythic 11th-century king who waged war with enemies of Tibet and unified the country through his super-human conquests was written in 1776 and is considered the longest literary work in the world.
