St. Paul's Chapel is the oldest church in Manhattan and pre-dates the American Revolution. It has survived fires, wars and the collapse of the World Trade Center, directly across Church Street. The historic chapel served as a meeting place for the teams of volunteers and firefighters who spent almost a year searching for survivors and clearing the site.
