Sculptural works stationed along the mouth of the Singapore River are reminders of the waterway's heritage as a trading post in the 19th century. Artist Chern Lian Shan carves a moving tribute to Singapore's pioneering traders with a bronze sculpture aptly titled, From Chettiars to Financiers.
